The latest Fast and the Furious Movie, also known as ‘Fast X’ has made its first appearance on Sky Cinema in the UK. As most are there to see Vin Diesel, John Cena and Jason Momoa battle it out on the streets of Rome, many are watching for the cars and boy did we see some special ones. Having watched, re-watched and analysed this film, we noticed there are a few prototypes we’re hoping will take to the official UK roads.
Let’s dive into the special Fast X Film Cars we saw make an appearance.
The New 2024 Delorean
Delorean, once founded by John Delorean in late 1975 only produced one car and went bust shortly after. That being said, this one car was known as the DMC-12 and was made famous across the globe by featuring as a key element to Robert Zemeckis’ film called ‘Back to the Future’. Delorean only sold 9,000 DMC’s in total and has been flying under the radar ever since. Although these cars are known to be terribly made, drive like a sack of potato’s and be incredibly hard to maintain, petrolheads have alway wanted to see the return of Delorean and this may just be the teaser we needed.
Gold Lamborghini Gallardo
Half way through the film we see one of the characters driving through the streets of Rome in what looks to be a Gold wrapped 2003 Lamborghini Gallardo. These cars have been an iconic sentiment to Lamborghini for decades and are still known to have one of the best sounding V10’s on the market. Having seen many of these cars currently on SwapAuto and Autotrader, you can find them priced approximately between £60,000 – £80,000 dependant on mileage.
2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Banshee SRT

In pure American fashion, you can’t have an American car film without a Dodge or Chevy and all the stops were pulled out for lead character ‘Dominic Toretto’. However, what most people don’t know is the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Banshee SRT is actually an all electric muscle car. This is Dodge looking to embrace new technologies and new legislation around EV vehicles and trying to show enthusiast that “they can still make cool cars”. The new EV is said to be faster and better than all combustion variants however… I think we’ll leave that to our experts across the pond.
2009 Porsche 911 GT3
From only a few short scenes its hard to say but the GT3 used in Fast X does appear to be a 2009 997 Gt3 variant. Shown in its beautiful factory ‘lizard green’ colour this car is one that really stands out. Porsche fan or not, every petrolhead knows the GT products produced by Porsche are nothing less than a work of art and they absolutely nailed the sound, iconic stance and presence this car has in real life, and applied it in the film.
Alfra Rameo GT2000
Now this is interesting.. what looks to be the original an Alfa Romeo Gt2000, is actually a slight ‘kit car’ or ‘RestoMod’ if you will. Although the chassis is original, the car didn’t have the right amount of power and agility needed for the specific scenes and the engine and gearbox were both replaced. This Alfra actually hosts a 2.3 litre Ford eco boost engine with a Mazda 6-speed manual gearbox. The vehicle was modified in the UK by none other than Alfraholics in Somerset!
Although there are many cars used in the Fast X film and Fast and the Furious franchise, these are the ones that really stood out to us! If you’re interested in any of these or fancy getting yourself into a new car – check out www.swapauto.co.uk!
